Detmold/Washington D.C. Jochen Körner, CEO of the Ecclesia Holding GmbH, was elected to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB). This association represents the world’s leading 200 companies in the industry.
Körner is the only representative of a German company who is in the board of directors of the CIAB. He was elected during the Council’s 106th annual Insurance Leadership Forum (ILF) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Since its beginnings in 1913 the Insurance Leadership Forum is the premier industry meeting for insurance brokers and for primary insurers and reinsurers.
“I am delighted to be elected to this prestigious board,” says Jochen Körner. "It underlines the international significance of the Ecclesia Group as Germany's largest broker for companies and institutions in terms of direct insurances. Jochen Körner (44) has worked for the Ecclesia Group since 2017. Since 2018 he has been a member of the Holding’s management board together with Tilman Kay (chairman of the Management Board) and Dr. Stefan Ziegler. The group achieved a turnover of about 217 million EUR last year and employs 1,750 people. Körner is responsible for the business of the industrial and specialist brokers of the Ecclesia
Group in Germany and abroad.
The Council’s Board of Directors is comprised of representatives of top brokerage firms who provide strategic direction and guidance around industry initiatives and proactive advocacy for the commercial brokerage industry’s regulatory and compliance matters. “We look to our Board for their expertise and leadership as we continue to move the needle in the industry,” says Ken A.
